Message from the RC:

Parents & Coaches:

It is hard to believe that we are entering the final weekend of the AYSO season.  It looks like the weather will be great this Saturday.  Once again mother nature has blessed us with great weather with the exception of one Saturday.

First of all I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of the volunteers that make AYSO possible.  There are a lot of things that go into getting ready for the season and to make playing games every Saturday possible for the approximately 600 kids who participate.  It is always a great sight to pull up to the soccer complex and see the fields full of kids playing soccer and family and friends watching.

This season will be my last as Regional Commissioner.  I want to THANK everybody who was part of the AYSO team during this time.  I have made many friends and met many great people during the past 13 years as RC.  It has been a very rewarding experience.

Ruth Johnson will take over as the Regional Commissioner after this season.  She has spent many hours volunteering in other areas of AYSO the past few seasons.  She will do a great job.  We also have many other new volunteers who have stepped up to take on new roles on the AYSO board.  This will make for a very smooth transition for the Fall 2016 season.

Even with all of the changes we would welcome anybody that would be willing to step up and help out.  There are many different things that need done, especially in the July & August timeframe when we are preparing for the upcoming season.  Let us know if you would like to volunteer.

A couple of more notes that I would like to pass along.

Pictures will be at the soccer fields this Saturday.  Coaches can pick them up at the information booth and distribute them their players.

We have also handed out flyers for traveling soccer.  If you are interested in your child playing more soccer during winter & summer months you can email us at

Finally, we will post details on registration for the Fall 2016 season on this website and our Facebook page.  This year was the first year for online registrations.  The registration process will stay the same for  2016 with the exception of we are working on accepting online payments as well.  Please check back regularly for details.

  • All registration forms will need to be completed through

    * You will need to sign up with an email address and a password of your choosing.

     * You can choose from the list of options that best apply to you.. (for example “My child has played in AYSO, but we never have used eAYSO”)

     * Although you may have returning players, if this is your first year using eAYSO you may need to enter all of their information as if they are new players.

     * Internet Explorer works best.

  • Once you have submitted the registration form you will need to print out two copies. The last page of each form is the concussion awareness form and this needs to be signed by hand.

All forms and payment ($75.00 per player) need to be delivered to:

  • AYSO 875 C/O Ruth Johnson, 2005 13th Street, Gering, NE 69341

  • Payment cannot be made online.

  • You can contact us if you have any questions.

If you have any questions please email us (click here).

AYSO depends on volunteers.  There are about 600 kids in the Scottsbluff/Gering area who play soccer every season.  AYSO will only be as good as the volunteers who step up and help.  Currently we have open board positions and are looking for people to help with the information booth.  Please let us know if you can help out (click here).
